We are excited to announce the appointment of Mr. Dave Cato as the new principal of both Thembelihle Primary School and Angels Care Pre-School. Dave brings with him a wealth of experience and a passion for education that aligns with our vision for the schools.
Dave grew up in Hillcrest, near Durban, where he completed his schooling before pursuing his Bachelor’s degree and professional teaching qualification at the University of Natal (Durban). Throughout his impressive career, Dave has served in leadership roles at four independent schools: Kearsney College, Woodridge College, Treverton College, and the Drakensberg Boys Choir School.
As of Term 3, Dave has officially joined us as principal, and his experience in school leadership—spanning nine years as a Head—positions him perfectly to guide our schools through an exciting new chapter of growth and development.
Dave is a devoted family man, married to Helga, with three children—Jennifer, Samantha, and Mihlali—and two grandchildren, Noah and Oliver. His commitment to nurturing young minds and building strong educational foundations will no doubt have a lasting impact on our community.
